At Cassidy Bedding, our experience with the sophisticated work behind the scenes leads us to how we confirm the chosen designs. An expansive collection of machinery is arranged to facilitate the complex number of steps to transform and prepare the raw materials into a finished sleep product.
Quilting machines will take large rolls of fabric and fire retardant materials, bind them together and cut the panels of your sleeping surface one by one. Large spring machines will engulf hundreds of yards of carefully selected wire per day to create the innerspring core of the mattress. Cutters and Slitters will reduce a car sized bun of poly foam down to the individual slabs that will make up the comfort layers. Industrial sergers and cutting tables prepare the fabric panels for final assembly. Build tables are manned by craftsmen who need to recall the exact layering of raw materials for the specific model. They are armed with glue guns, hog ring staplers, rulers and scissors. Once they have the bed built, the final assembly usually goes to a tape edge craftsman who binds the border fabric to the top and bottom fabric surfaces. This step full encapsulates the mattress before quality control and packaging. The capability to compress package a mattress is made possible by an impressive machine that features conveyors, king sized compression plates, poly baggers, and rollers. At the end pops out a rolled and folded mattress compressed into a fairly small box.
